The antique clock
The lecturer mentioned this father clock even before we went to the palace - or at least I think that he was referring to this one. It is very old and the first thing you see when you enter one of the wide corridors of the palace. The wood is very expensive - from the texture and the colour it looks like Chestnut - and the space around the face of the clock is made of gold with many decorations and details all over. What struck me as most curious though are the old paintings on the door of the clock, showing events which I did not quite understand. They are quite faded with small missing pieces due to their old age and exposure. Details are written as a caption beneath each painting.
